On Friday 22nd May 1998 I was once again in the Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Higher Education Student Union Bar. When I arrived I thought I was going to see Ocean Colour Theme (a tribute band to Ocean Colour Scene) but unfortunately their van broke down on the M25. As a result of this the S.U. arranged at the last moment a substitute band called THE CHIP SHOP BOYS.

At first I thought this band was going to be a PET SHOP BOYS tribute band but I soon found out that they were just a general covers band.

The bands line-up was:-

• TOMMY - Vocals / Keyboards
• STUART - Vocals / Guitar

On the night they performed a variety of music from the 60's right up to the current day, in fact this was one of the things that impressed me the most. They even performed tracks from the pop chart of that week.
